Privacy policy
NZAI Security is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what is collected, why, and what rights you have — in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
Last updated: June 2026
1. Who we are
NZAI Security operates the website nzaisecurity.com. For the purposes of the Privacy Act 2020, NZAI Security is the agency responsible for the collection and handling of personal information through this site.
Contact: fersupeai@gmail.com
2. What we collect
The only personal information collected through this site is what you voluntarily submit through the contact form:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your role or organisation type (e.g. educator, student, school leader)
- The subject and message content you choose to send
We do not collect data through analytics tools, advertising trackers, or data profiling systems. Server logs may record technical information such as IP address and browser type — this is standard website operation and is not used to identify individuals.
3. Why we collect it
Contact form information is collected for the sole purpose of responding to your enquiry. We do not use it for marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond replying to the message you send.
The legal basis for collecting this information is your consent — by submitting the contact form, you are indicating that you are happy for us to use your information to respond to you.
4. Third-party services we use
Your contact form submissions are sent to Formspree (formspree.io), which acts as our email processing provider. Formspree handles your information in accordance with its own privacy policy. Your submission is delivered to fersupeai@gmail.com.
This site is hosted on servers that may log technical data as part of standard infrastructure operation. Hosting is provided by a third-party provider operating under their own privacy terms.
If this site later adds analytics tools, advertising, or other third-party services, this policy will be updated to reflect those changes.
5. How long we keep it
Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to respond to your message. If you make a request under the Privacy Act (see below), we may retain relevant correspondence for the period needed to handle that request and respond to any related enquiries.
Formspree may retain copies of submitted data on its servers as part of its standard email handling. Refer to Formspree's privacy policy for details of their retention practices.
6. Your rights under the Privacy Act 2020
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction — request that inaccurate or incomplete information be corrected
- Deletion — request that we delete personal information we hold about you, where there is no longer a legitimate reason to retain it
- Object to certain processing — raise a concern about how your data is being used
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at fersupeai@gmail.com. We will respond to your request within the timeframe required by the Privacy Act.
7. Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 without parental or guardian consent.
If you believe we may have collected information from a child under 16 without appropriate consent, please contact us immediately at fersupeai@gmail.com so we can investigate and remove the data if necessary.
8. Cookies and site usage data
This site does not currently use cookies for tracking, analytics, or advertising purposes. The site may use essential session cookies to maintain basic site operation — these are not used to track or profile visitors.
If cookies or similar tracking technologies are added in future, this policy will be updated to describe what is in use and why.
9. How to raise a concern or complaint
If you have a concern about how NZAI Security is handling your personal information, contact us first so we can try to resolve it directly.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (OPC):
- Website: privacy.org.nz
- Phone: 0800 803 909
- Email: enquiries@privacy.org.nz
10. Changes to this policy
If this site changes its data practices — for example, by adding analytics, advertising, new third-party services, or new ways to collect information — this privacy policy will be updated and the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be changed.
Significant changes will be communicated through the site's Insights section.
